Cleveland Clinic Stories

Cleveland Clinic: "I came in with meningitis and waited over 5 hours to be seen. Meningitis can be fatal if not treated immediately. 9 months ago I came to this same ER with similar symptoms and waited 3 hours. When I got a room, the doctor came in immediately and said we needed a spinal puncture and antibiotics and was dismayed at how long I waited because of the risks in delayed treatment (seizures, brain damage, sometimes fatal). I told the staff about this the second time around and they just told me to wait. " - Caroline

Cleveland Clinic: "Brought husband in to FairView ER at 10am after already have been seen at CC Urgent Care in Independence and them not being able to do anything for him. He’s in intense pain from likely kidney stones. Well, it’s now 5 hours later and no relief for him in sight… not a happy camper. " - Amanda
