Johnston Memorial Hospital: "I brought my developmently delayed daughter in for a hurt ankle. Her blood pressure was 180/90. Her ankle was sprained. I paid a deposit since she didn't have insurance but they wouldn't treat the high blood pressure. They told me to find her a doctor." - Roberta

Vidant Medical Center: "I have never seen a worse situation in an emergency room. People waiting for hours and hours in a chair with every body else for treatment or a bed to lie down in. Even the employees faces express their sympathy as there is nothing they can do. I have seen this time after time since I take care of an elderly patient that gets dehydrated and needs medical attention from time to time. Even a trip in an ambulance will dump you into the waiting room unless you have trauma. At least my patient got an IV in the ambulance. IT WAS NEVER THIS WAY TILL VIDANT TOOK OVER. " - james

Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital: "My daughter was in the psychiatric unit from 11/11/2019 - 11/14/2019 and her experience was horrible. She has a brain injury and had to be admitted to regulate her medication. She got upset and started crying at one point so some of the nurses escorted her to her room, and told her she needed to stop that crying and shut her door. At another time she was eating some fruit and got choked on it. She asked for help but no one would help her. She started sticking her fingers down her throat and they told her to stop that. Her experience was so bad that if she ever needs to be hospitalized again I don’t plan on bringing her there again. The patients in this unit are still human beings and they have feelings even though they do have problems." - Lisa
