Bon Secours Southampton Memorial Hospital Stories

Bon Secours Southampton Memorial Hospital: "This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. In 2023, I had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting their emergency room. It was middle of the night when I arrived. They determined that the only thing they could do to help me was giving me tramadol for pain medicine. No diagnosis, no treatment plan, no finding out why my condition happened. Nothing.

They then told me I could go home but I had to wait for my ride to get there since I arrived via ambulance. Unfortunately, my ride could not there until 4 hours later. Rather than leave me in a room in the ER (they weren't busy at all and had plenty of space), they pushed me into a psych word room and LOCKED it from the outside. It was sound proof.

They came into the room ONE time to check on me in 4 hours. They brought me a cold, partially cooked lunch. They left me in that room until my ride got there and she couldn't even get in until someone came and unlocked the door for her. Completely unprofessional and uncaring. If you care about your loved one, avoid this hospital at all costs."
