Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center: "You suck!!! Staff horribly insufficient!!" - Brian

Nov 28, 2017, 1:58 PM
Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center: "I have been to this er on several occasions and each time something always happens. 2 years ago my mom slipped whwn getting out of bed. Complaing of leg cramps we took her to the er. Doctor did ultrasound of her leg to check for blood clots , none where found and a urinalysis showed a uti. Gave her a prescription and sent her home. On Friday we went back this time they xrayed her and found 6 fractures. Two months ago we went back my mom was diagnosed with Chf. She was in a room on the 3rd floor. I left that evening everything was good. I went back the next morning, my mom's room was empty, I went to the nurses station to ask where she was,and to see if she had gone for her test, they told me Noone was in that room. I said well my mom was in there last night when I left. They moved her to another room and no one called to tell me. They looked her up in the system to tell what room she had been moved to. When I got to the room my mom was eating , no big deal except she was suppose to have a test done that morning and was not suppose to be eating. Test was postponed to the next day. Diagnosed with gastroparesis. On Saturday morning I went to visit, they didn't feed her said she was npo. I finally got that straight
2 weeks later we went back to er. Nurse took us to a curtained room and said her nurse will be with you in a minute. Doctor came in and ordered some test
Blood was drawn . 2 hours later no one had been in since blood was drawn. I had to find the call button. I called for assistance.the nurse who originally brought us to the area said I will be right with you. 10 minutes later she was standing at the desk talking with another employee and laughing. I called for help again. Someone finally came but it still wasn't her nurse. She told me they were busy and that my mom probably didn't need to be monitored. I was not very nice and got very rude . At which time someone came in and hooked her up to the monitors. They found a small yeast infection. Gave her meds and sent her home. Thanksgiving I took my mom back again due to an an extreme amount of blood and small masses in her bed and on the floor. 13 hours in er before they got her a bed. She had an Endoscopy on saturday morning. She received 3 bags of blood. She was suppose to have Colonoscopy monday, but due to chest pains on sunday, they postponed it. Decided to prep her for Colonoscopy opy at 8pm last night to do the procedure today, which the gi doctor did not order because he was waiting to hear about cardiologist report on Whether it was safe to do or not. The Hospitalist ordered her a regular diet, before he ordered the prep. Needless to say once again the procedure was not done and had to be postponed again because the prep for it was not successful."
