Blessing Hospital Stories

Blessing Hospital: "Blessing Hospital was rated as one of the best hospitals in the Midwest. I can't see how. Some of the doctors are so unprofessional. I had an MRI done with anesthetic. The anesthesiologist (Dr. Nguyen) told me that they normally don't do MRI's with anesthetic on adults and we should "SUCK IT UP." She also tried to talk me out of having it done with anesthetic. The procedure was scheduled well in advance. Patients are already under some form of stress or anxiety when they arrive. When I told her to just do it with anesthesia. She acted rude and had an attitude. NO PATIENT should have to feel that way I felt. I honestly felt like I was bothering her when it IS HER JOB to make me or any other patient feel comfortable and do the procedure as scheduled. I would NEVER recommend Blessing Hospital to anyone. Blessing Hospital: "Blessing hospital is an absolute joke. Nobody knows what they're talking about. No communication. My "Doctor" said he would come down to do my procedure and then told an ER doctor to do it. The ER Doctor called to ask what to do, recovery information, etc, and the doctor said that I would come back in a day to get packing removed and that I would be able to return to work in 4 days. Today we called my doctor to get told we couldn't be seen until 6 days later and that my packing should have been getting changed 2 times a day, which was not what we were told. And also that I couldn't return to work for a week which was frustrating due to the fact that I had already called work twice to tell them I could work within 4 days. I had a polonital cyst on my tailbone. When we came into the the emergency room nobody (including my Doctor) knew what that was. My family has NEVER had good experience with Blessing Hospital and I would never recommend going there. It was an awful experience. I will be taking a drive to Hannibal hospital next time.
