Beckley Arh Hospital: "In 2020, I settled a lawsuit against Beckley Area Regional Hospital and one of their cardiologists. The filing for my case can be found online by searching my name and Beckley Area Regional Hospital. I had been fitted with a pacemaker it was later medically proven was not able to correct or improve my condition. The lower lead had been fractured at some point after installation and began randomly shocking my heart on it's own. My health declined and I sought out other medical opinions. Ten months after it was installed the pacemaker was completely removed. During the testing before that surgical procedure, it was discovered a medical instrument had been broken during the pacemaker install and a 46" surgical steel wire had been left tangled and embedded throughout my heart chambers and partly perforating my right renal vein. It would seem that this happened without the doctor/surgeon and OR team that day being aware of it. It was removed through a high risk surgery and the significant damage to my Tricuspid Valve repaired. 3" of the J-tip guidewire length, were left to remain embedded into the renal vein just short of my right kidney. The extreme risk of removing it requires that I will carry it there for life. I will need periodic checks for the repair to my Tricuspid Valve and heart wall damage. Other serious health issues arose and are permanent, relating to the initial object left in my heart and following surgeries. It is possible that I would need to return there for care again at some point in the future. Hospital choices in an emergency situation are not many in this area. It is not a thought that I am at peace with." - Tracey

Beckley Arh Hospital: "This hospital's service is terrible, do not waste your time. Went in with severe earache (possible busted ear drum). I just sat in an empty waiting room 3 hours to not even get to be put in triage yet...needless to say im done, leaving, and will NEVER return. Get your shit together ARH. I will continue to advertise your poor quality to every friend and family i have. Sickens me to say this is a healthCARE facility.." - Patrick
