Ascension St Vincent's Southside Stories

Ascension St Vincent's Southside: "Do not take your elderly parent to this hospital. The Doctors and Case Managers are horrible. My elderly 88 year old mother, cannot sit up, walk, urinate on her own and has obstipation. The doctors only want to discharge patients that are not safely ready to be discharged. I have only had 2 phone conversations with 2 different doctors. The first one was rude, and I tried to fire him 8 times. They continue to submit a discharge to Medicare based on what the first doctor said. He told me my mother should be walking. He didn't even know she had a hard non-walking cast on one leg and the other foot heal had been broken. This hospital is only about the "money". Make sure you have the best insurance to go here. Once it runs out, out the door you go." - Brenda

St Vincent's Medical Center Southside: "I will never take my kid here again. After a long wait, they wrapped my kid up and fixed him with some stitches. It was a messy job and my kid passed out 3 times. I waited 6 hours. I wish they sent me to the children’s hospital. I didn’t know one was in town. " - Crystal
