Alamance Regional Medical Center: "I have been sick for over 3 weeks...have been to PCP and still sick. Been here for 2 and a half hours and just heard the 1st name called since I've been here but have seen at least 5 people discharged. This is unacceptable. I am so uncomfortable just sitting here waiting. " - Mildred

Alamance Regional Medical Center: "This place sucks! 9+ hours and still waiting in waiting room without being seen by anyone! Why? This is unheard of! Some one can die waiting! The emergency room filled and emptied several times while waiting. Still waiting! Can’t ask questions people get offended. End up waiting longer if you ask questions about how much longer. Someone needs to handle such problems!" - Joe

Alamance Regional Medical Center: "I arrived at the ED at 4:55 am on Wednesday, May 19. Receiving my After Visit Summary, I see that my sore throat, nasal congestion, and cough were the only symptoms listed, though I specifically said the light-headedness, dizziness, and extremely weak kneed feeling were what brought me into the ED at that time. I had taken a MucinexDM at midnight, and at 2 am some of congestion was gone, but mouth was very dry (along with other symptoms). No fever, which may have taken them off track. BP was 180. Waited over 90 minutes before getting into room. Two ACC students asked questions, put on BP monitor. I did not realize BP monitor was on upside down, but monitor was buzzing and no one came in to check. Blood was drawn by one of ACC students - high white blood cells, glucose 150. PA-C gave a very quick exam. Listened with stethoscope to back and said "sounded good" but did not check chest from front or ears (since I complained of dizziness). Looked quickly at throat, said looked ok. Nurse upon leaving said to continue with Mucinex, should be fine. I took MucinexDM faithfully 2x daily upon leaving ED, and was able to have a virtual office visit with my Primary Care office where I was diagnosed with Pneumonia and put on Azithromycin immediately. I started to feel better the next day." - Betty
