Average wait times at hospital in Miami-Dade County show the time patients can expect to spend. Actual wait times will depend on many factors, such as severity of the injury, time of day, and staffing. Patients are quickly evaluated as part of a triage process, so the most severe cases can be treated first. Depending on the hospital, this initial wait can run from a few minutes to over an hour. The times below also include wait times for initial treatment, since there can be many delays after the triage process. Choose an ER with a shorter wait time to get seen more quickly.

These are the average time from entering the ER to being admitted to the hospital by a doctor. In a busy ER, patients will be seen by a triage nurse first. Then the wait time will vary by severity, and how busy the ER is at the time of day. Patients with less serious problems could have substantially longer waits.

Baptist Hospital: "I’m currently in the ER waiting room at Baptist, Pensacola. So far I’ve been seen in triage room 3. The females that saw me, have a Panera bag on a bottle of saline on the counter. Unexceptable. Then the females in room 3 gave me a urine collection cup. THANK GOD I knew to look for my name as it had no label and just a tray in the waiting room that says urine here. Totally upsetting. When I voiced my concern to the woman trying to look busy taking a BP here and a BP there she blew off my concern. I’m afraid to leave as I’m afraid my gallbladder is causing me a serious problem. Today is May 5, 2026 and the time is 1703. If anyone cares to follow up on the food issues or unlabeled body products. " - Mrs

Tampa Va Medical Center: "They have actively put my life in danger on multiple occasions and have denied emergency/Urgent civilian scripts on multiple occasions. They told me to drive an hour to them after I explained that I went 9 days on a total of 5 hours of sleep while blacking out and hallucinating. They failed to send blood thinners for over a week after I developed a blood clot from a surgery that they told me was a matter of life or death. In 16 years has not only failed to diagnose my severe insomnia dragging it out until all available medications (Their own words) are no longer working but actually also claimed sleep apnea with a score of .5 despite me not sleeping during the tests and a .5 being nothing. They also refuse to remove the false sleep apnea diagnosis which prevented me from getting a sleeping medication which might have helped. There GI clinic misdiagnosed a very common digestion issue which took a civilian 5 minutes of poking around with his fingers to prove wrong, That same GI clinic has intentionally dodged me by calling at times I told them I had other appointments and by not sending a link to a video call and then didn't call or answer calls. They were bad enough that I flat refuse to speak to anyone from that department. In 8 years they have not even attempted to diagnose my tremors. My jaw began popping and they kept telling me my TMJ's were fine but didn't look into any other cause, Later I discovered the tumor in my cheek that was responsible. In 3 years they have failed to treat a pinched nerve in my neck that has made my left arm lose 60% of my grip strength and are now delaying civilian treatment. I wish I could say this was all of it, It's gotten so bad that my congressman's office is pushing for full community care for me as we are both convinced this is the only way I will ever get real treatment. If you are thinking about moving here, Don't." - Trevor

Hca Florida Trinity Hospital: "My wife was treated promptly in a clean, well run facility. Security is high - perhaps the result of past issues? If not it could be more empathetically executed. " - Tim

Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Venice: "I was at SMH Venice from 230 Sat to Monday 03/02/0006 The first Day I was treated ok but after my wife on Sunday at 230 and the things changed- They moved me to other side of 5th floor.-Before this room change I was treated like a Human I could walk around room ,use the Bathroom with the Door close. At Room 5009 they locked the rails on the Bed up, put pads on rails-when I had to go to the bathroom a Nurse sat 2 feet away- I had a big bowel movement and was using wet wipes when WAM I was slammed into wall and pinned there while Nurse/LPN wiped and then RAPED me using her fingers or something else- my shoulder is still bruised and my ANUS still throbs, I notified my 2 SMH Doctors nothing, called patient advocate nothing, customer care nothing Elder Abuse over 65 noting, went Venice Police but from the shit attitude of the Desk Officer nothing will happen. I would rather die than go to a SMH Facility Going to tell everyone I meet about this and put up signs WARNING ABOUT SMH. THEY SUCK" - William
