Vidant Edgecombe Hospital: "Unfortunately I didn’t have a favorable visit. I’m a current employee at Georgetown University Hospital and we pride ourselves on professionalism and treating people with care respect and dignity I did not receive any of that here at Vidant hospital today as a matter fact I don’t know if I’m more upset with the lady at the front desk or the nurse but let’s focus on the nurse number one when I try to approach her to find out how the patient was doing she acted as though I was interrupting her she was having a conversation with several coworkers they were laughing and joking about something not sure what the subject matter was but I wanted to know how my person was that I brought to the hospital and she was rude she said well you’re gonna have to give us some time so that we can find out what’s wrong with him and it takes 45 hours to do a Covid test but I know that that is incorrect and then she walked away at she was very unprofessional I don’t know if she didn’t like my skin color or if she was upset because I was interrupting their conversation but either way her professionalism on a scale of 1 to 0 was -0 she really needs bedside manner training I failed to get her name but his name was Brian Wiggins he was in room number four and you should be able to track down who his lead nurse was after being here for 6 1/2 to 7 hours still not getting any information from anyone I reapproach the ladies at the front desk asking and pleading for them to at least let me know if he has Covid because his dad is 97 years ON at the house and if he has Covid I need to alert his other family members so they can do something with the dairy mediately this seem to not be of concern to them because it was still four hours later before we got the covert results there was no one in the emergency room when we entered and only two people came in since I’ve been here I’m just really flabbergasted with the professionalism of the nurse I’m going to forward this letter and additional comments to the Better Business Bureau and I know you guys an hour affiliate it but I’m still going to do it and I’m going to also share my experience with Georgetown University Hospital so that we be sure that our nurses doctors practitioners are not out there being unprofessional because at a time of sickness unique care and compassion and I didn’t get that from the nurse and I think that may have been her to call me and alert me that he tested negative for COVID-19 and I asked her of her name and I think she said hunter and I could be mistaken but honey when she said it was with an attitudeI think this letter should be published nationally after all typos are corrected so that people can know where to go for professional care from a caring hospital a caring hospital" - Valerie
