St Tammany Parish Hospital: "So so disappointed it’s really frustrating when you sit here and wait 2 hours not complaining just waiting your turning, but then you start noticing people who came in an hour after you, walking out the door to leave so you politely walk to the desk , u don’t want to upset anyone and be pushed all the way to the end so you calmly ask when they think your child would see the doctor and they say idk and then just a little irritated u mention all the people that are leaving and she tells you your waiting on the peds side so as I walk to sit down the next patient called back is a child that came in well after your son. Now don’t get me wrong I’m in the medical field so I understand triage of patient care and and I also understand that if someone comes in with gun shot/ chest pain of course they should be seen before my son’s broken finger, but after talking to a few patients you wonder how ones cold comes first idk they seem what and what since the child has no fever so I’m just guessing u normally would see the patient that was there 1st but seems they do things differently here" - Amber

St Tammany Parish Hospital: "your nursing staff has a LOT a lot of learning to be done.
Courtesy and interactions with patients need to be taught .
Information given me with staff on the same day not the same .
Refusal to give blood test results ' why ?
12 minutes to answer nurse button - why .
Most follow up doctors people unprofessional. "

St Tammany Parish Hospital: "Although I threatened no one, I was put in protective custody and taken to this hospital. The nurse threatened me with restraints and forced drugs to power trip in front of the police. I was discharged within hours with a diagnosis of anxiety and anger (um, yeah!) as I was not a threat to myself or others. I should have never been involuntarily forced to the ER in the first place as I never threatened anyone. The hospital staff had no compassion or concern for my welfare. They treated me like I was a nuisance when I was put there against my will. The security guard yelled at me, "I was only going to offer you a blanket," when I calmly asked him to leave me alone. Another nurse offered no assistance when I was discharged and the phone did not work for me to tell my ride where I was. For crisis intervention (which was unwarranted in this situation as I was cleared of any suicidal diagnosis and cleared to return to work the following day by my doctor), they power tripped and tried to threaten me with coercion (restraints/forced drugs). I will never trust this hospital or staff, nor will I allow their threats to silence me for this injustice." - Victoria

St Tammany Parish Hospital: "I called the ER & spoke to a nurse, I asked a pretty basic question & her response was irritated & lazy. Went something like, 'it depends, I can't really tell you, I mean you'll just have to use your own judgment, I really don't know'
My question was- did I need to bring a friend I thought possibly had a mini stroke approximately 12 hours ago to the ER or to her primary care. Basically, is it an emergency situation or not? She didn't really know, I'll just have to use my own judgement! To me that sounds like a ridiculous response- is it life threatening & needs immediate medical attention? She asked 'how is she acting now'? I replied ' I don't know, I'm not with her now, it's only in retrospect that I'm realizing this could be the problem' does is it really matter how she's acting now? If she was acting as if she had a mini stroke 12 hours ago- shouldn't the next step be immediate medical attention? I don't know why I even bothered to call & ask, I already know the answer. Obviously if she's possibly had a stroke she needs to seek medical attention as soon as possible, but it won't be at this ER. So rude, and no people skills at all. Ridiculous "
