St John's Episcopal Hospital At South Shore: "My mom who is 90 years of age was admitted into the hospital 12/25/21. She was diagnosed with Covic19. I kept telling different staff that I would speak to that she was complaining of her throat hurting resulting in her not being able to eat. They continue to give her solid food resulting in her not eating. The day she was discharged my mother look like she was on her death bed, you could count every rib, and I have the pictures to prove it. She couldn't even walk and was supposed to have been given a visiting nurse and therapy none of which was in the discharged papers. The social workers will contact you one time and completely check out on you after that and never answer or reply to messages being left. A week later my mother had to go back into the hospital. I stayed in the waiting room waiting to speak with a nurse or doctor for 4 hrs after the front desk staff went in the ER 4 times to tell them I was waiting. Just so happened my mother was right by the ER door and I went in. To my disbelief she had the same adult pull-up on for 18 HOURS, which is totally unacceptable. Final outcome I left, and will return hoping to get my mother discharged, and will never bring her there again.

St John's Episcopal Hospital At South Shore: "Visited this hospital today 6/16/2017.... the registration lady very nice, the triage nurse. Very nice and fast. Went in with chest discomfort after a long night with chest pains, numbness in jaw and left side, couldn't breathe all symptoms of heart attack which triage nurse took very serious took to the er department to be evaluated and asked for a ekg to be done first took me to one bed and the attending nurse was horrible and started yelling i have two patients I'm not taking anymore walter which was the charge nurse at the time 9:30am said he was in charge and she yelled at him so what if your im charge fair is fair, which i can understand but that's something that should be discussed in private not in front of us patients that are there for obvious reasons. So she took me over to bed number 9 where the nurse on dutie name is marie she yells I'm going on BREAK and leaves they sent in a nurse named ada which identified herself to me very sweet and polite and performed a ekg on me... hours passed by not a nurse nor doctor came in to check on me at all... very disappointed on the way sick patients get treated in a emergency department.... after all that I walked out the charge doctor was dr. Franks never came in either this hospital is a joke they all talking and carrying on about personal issues.... all should be replaced by Doctors and Nurses that really care about there patients health and not just there for there pay because half of the nurses there are nasty and treat there patients very poorly " - Luz
