Skagit Valley Hospital: "As a senior citizen, I have been to many hospitals throughout my lifetime and have never been treated with as much kindness and compassion as I have at Skagit Valley Hospital. They are always so respectful, as well as, thorough in treatment. I did have an issue once with communicating to the front desk my urgency needing to be seen. However, once I explained what had taken place with the desk, to the nurse, she was apologetic and quickly rectified the situation. I trust them, knowing I will receive the best care." - Katie

Skagit Valley Hospital: "I went in because I am positive for covid and having low oxygen levels at home while laying down below 90 she was rude and said I’m only low because my fake nails and then she only checked my blood pressure which was 111/84. She didn’t listen to my lungs as to I’m short of breath and or check anything else. She was very rude. Then she said ok u need to go sit behind the barrier. I said ok. She was not polite about at all. On my way out of triage I said to her I think I’m gonna faint and she said I’m fine and go have a seat. She took several other patients straight back. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and then my body just gave out. I was dizzy and ready to puke and needed to lay down. I was still in the bottom of the list cause I’m the triage nurse eyes I had no need to be there. Worst service ever. " - Misty

Skagit Valley Hospital: "I have had a number of day surges, 5 just in the past 5 years. Dr. Dang performed the surgery which went great. The admitting nurse very nice and helpful but the anesthesiologist all but guaranteed he knew what he was doing and I would not have side effects I had had in past. I ended up with worse side effects I have ever had with nerve block. Then the sling they sent me home in was too small. The nurse checking me out says u can dress yourself right, and just left the room. I couldn’t finish dressing myself with 1 arm so I said yes I will need help, she was handing me my clothes with her fingertips with a discussed look on her face. I don’t understand how surgery nurses don’t know more than I do about different procedures and actually have some empathy for patients. Why else do they work there? The experience made my recovery harder and longer, and I would really appreciate it if someone could acknowledge the mistakes that were made so they won’t b made again. Thank you" - Felisa
