Shands Hospital At The University Of Florida: "It’s been 9 hours and I have yet to be seen. Some patients have been here even longer. I have a chemical burn to my eye which has gotten worse the 9 hours and still waiting. ER staff have been friendly and doing the best they can but behind these doors who knows what is going on but this is beyond unacceptable " - Bernadette

Shands Hospital At The University Of Florida: "Going to Shands ER is a absolutely inhumane. The wait time is and has been 9 hours plus. Someone should be fired. Just sit back and look for yourself. This lack of proper leadership has resulted in my family members to be in the ER for well over 12hrs without being offered a something to eat or drink. Don't believe the hype this ER is overwhelmed everyday due to lack of leadership.
On a lighter note if you survive the 24hrs or more it may take to be admitted the doctor's are generally excellent. Remember your in control of your health care so I encourage everyone to voice there concerns. This has to be corrected!" - Frederick

Shands Hospital At The University Of Florida: "Son brought in for possible abdominal bleed. Waited 9 hours, no dr, no room, no results. We left. Came back next day when waiting room was empty. Been waiting four hours no triage, no drs, nobody being called back for rooms. it is now packed. This is the worst ER I've ever been to. Staff is rude, i wxoected more from a Nationally known trauma center. We drove here out of state expecting better health care not worse. Soending money for hotel, second day here, no dr, no results, no room." - Shannon
