Sarasota Memorial Hospital: "We were at Sarasota Memorial hospital yesterday. We waited for 2 1/2 hours to be brought into the emergency room where my husband‘s bed was in the hall. We were there for seven hours. He has a pinched nerve in either his neck or his shoulder. They would not order an orthopedic person to evaluate him and to get a CAT scan. He left Still in agony, after waiting for discharge papers, but never came. When we got up to leave, we told the RN that he had to leave and go home and get comfortable and he couldn’t wait any longer. The RN said OK bye. Never said I have your orders right here. We have always loved Sarasota Memorial but we will definitely be looking for a new emergency room. They didn’t even write an order for him to see an orthopedic person quickly. Now we have to wait two or three weeks before we can see a doctor and then who knows how much longer to get the CAT scan . " - Shawn
