Piedmont Henry Hospital: "On three separate occasions my average wait time at different times of day different days of week has ranged from 13hrs to 18hrs to be seen by a Dr. And including a 15hr. At which time i walked out. All liver and kidney related. In 2020 my 88yo Mom and myself waited 10 hrs even though we were brought in by ambulance,we both had diabetes and covid related pneumonia and then we were kicked out because we hadn't eaten in that amount of time and we asked for food. We had been transported and had no way home so transport was arranged for our 5min. Ride home. An hour later and 33 miles out of our way in route I had a bathroom related emergency and asked driver to find a bathroom she pulled over and told me to go in the bushes. I had no choice but to do it or soil myself so I did. We recieved a $3,000.00 bill. I wrote on the statement that they were in the wrong business and they should look into being comedians" - Karen

Piedmont Henry Hospital: "My sister is severely handicapped and my mother is 81 years old. My mother and sister got there at 1 pm Tuesday, 8/23/22, and were not seen until around 1 am Wednesday, 8/24/22. I was able to get there at 10:30 pm and only then did they draw my sister's blood. By then she had urinated on the floor (through her diaper) and soiled her clothing. They tested her for Covid, which were not aware of, and she was positive. They did not inform us until this morning, Thursday, 8/25/22 morning. In the meantime, several family members had come into contact. My sister had to receive oxygen, even though masked, we were around her in her face for hours with her being masked. The nurses were great and so were the doctors. The phlebotomists were terrible. The one in the emergency room tried to draw my sister's blood (and because she is handicapped you have to have more than one person to do it) and could not do it so told my mom (this was before I got there) to let a nurse do it. However, a nurse stated that they were not aware because he had put in her records that she refused. My mom told him, and he could see for himself, that my sister was nonverbal. So, he lied. They brought her in (because I pushed once I got there, took her clothes off, put on a gown, and changed her diaper. Once in the room, we waited for hours more. We were told she would be admitted around 4am that Wednesday morning. But she did not receive a room until Thursday. Again when a when a phlebotomists came to take her blood, she tried one time and couldn't do it. After I told her she needed others. She went to get another person (although it would take several people (I was one) to help. I kept asking her where would she like me to be (to help) and she didn't answer. Then when it was not successful she left. She did not tell me when she would come back. Again, not knowing how to handle handicapped people. And again, the nurse (wasn't even my sister's nurse) had to come and explain and try to help. By this time her nurse came. I told her what happened and she went to handle it by calling the phlebotomist back and telling where she need me, and my mom, to be placed. We were able to get the blood. Then the long wait continued. Right now my mom has yet to see another doctor for hours when I called(again she is 81). I can't go up there because now I am being tested for Covid and they won't test her (she is already at the hospital and is my sister's caregiver.) This is ridiculous!!" - Angela

Piedmont Henry Hospital: "3/24-3/25 / 2022 ER HENRY COUNTY GA. If you go in with acute pain right flank and abdominal the nurses flag you a drug user. Then the night shift refuses to see you and tells you there is a 10 hour wait time. They discriminate and actually laugh and talk loudly about the patients and which ones they won’t take in the front waiting room. You never think it’s you until the place is cleared out and everyone that came after you had come and gone. Unless your in an ambulance they won’t see you until you complain and ask the names of the charge nurse ..The nurse and a lady named West kept running to the back when this was asked and would refuse to talk to you. Found out her name she’s nasty person.. it was Kerri and Ian . They refuse to see you. You can even see on the list when they are looking for your name and how many people they have past you up for. They laughed all night in the waiting room saying they don’t care they don’t car!! Actually they didn’t. I relied in pain felt like a hard piece of clay in my right abdomen for 6 hours. I said I was going to leave they say go ahead do what you’d like we don’t care. Then I tried asking for the charge nurse never got her or him . Never told there name these people refused. Then one of the front woman took me to a room said her name was West , which was fake probably put me a room after 6 hours. You could hear the nurse and doctors saying the didn’t want to take me. I knew they flagged my chart as a drug user !! I’m not and I just had surgery 6months ago there. This is my first experience with your horrible ER.. irresponsible people that discriminate due to your pain and were it is.. I have serious illness and unfortunately my doctors go to this facility that has an incompetent ER. That get to choose who lives and dies. I’m sure many die in tour Er waiting room for lack of care.
The new day doctors and nurses that switched over in the morning helped me.
My diagnosis is Acute Diverticulitis!!!! It felt like my gallbladder had stones or my appendix burst but the front Er didn’t care and there reason for not putting me back was you could not be fast tracked...!!?! I needed tests!! Really because I was in pain???!! Their wait time was only 2 hours hat day. I had to wait 6 hours then told twice by the reassessment nurse he said it was 10 hours now. No one in the waiting room but children started to come in in the morning!! Pediment Henry in Stockbridge Georgia could have seriously killed me. That’s why people die, because you have incompetent people deciding who goes back to be seen and terrible nursing staff and front office and triage nurses or medical techs. You need to be investigated for not assessing or having incompetent people working for Henry county Er. If you don’t come by ambulance they will let you die in the waiting room.
Tried calling the Kerri charge nurse to let her know they almost killed me by refusing me service and proper care the night before, and she cursed me out telling me I couldn’t call her up and telling her what I’d been through. Rude, nasty, arrogant ,self entitled nurse who doesn’t care at all for the care of patients should not have a job . Who hires these people? Need another HR hiring staff too "

Piedmont Henry Hospital: "Another bad experience. 6 hrs in the waiting room so far with many folks who have been here longer. My last visit was over 9 hours. They are quick to triage for the money but be sure to pack a lunch and dinner." - D.

Piedmont Henry Hospital: "I explained to the lady at the desk that I was having severe chest pains and that my BP was really hi. Here it is over an hour later, and I still haven’t been reassessed. I’m in terrible pain. Keep throwing up. And no one has come out to see me yet." - Yolanda

Piedmont Henry Hospital: "I went to your emergency room facility on the evening of 10/13.
I had had PAD surgery early in the day at Emory, Decatur.
Later in the day, my incision started to bleed, to the point I was using almost a whole roll of paper towels
So at approx 10:30 last night, two of my children and me drove to your facility.
Your emergency room was very busy, but when I explained my situation, they immediately took me right away and Dr. Susie Dupree was very efficient and solved my problem immediately.
Everyone there was kind, and helpful.
I wanted to share this wonderful experience with you, and I have never been to your facility before as I live in Rockdale county.
Thank you again! Kathy"
