St Mary's Hospital: "I have always had a good experience with St Mary's except for this time the emergency room was a little packed I had gotten there at approximately 5: 30 ish I didn't get back into the ER part with a room until about 8:30. Then once I got back into the emergency room I was hooked up to monitors given pain medicine and just left in there they did an exam on me and I have been ringing the nurses call button they told me they would get my nurse well about 30 minutes it went by I still had not heard nothing so I took all my monitors off I was very irritated at this point I had been neglected in the waiting room now I was being neglected in the emergency room. And as I took the monitors off I sat there for about 20 more minutes nobody ever come to check to see if I was okay anything so I finally got up and I walked out and I had an IV stuck in my arm and had to have a cop come out to my house and remove it it is the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. But what really got me was when I took all the monitors off and nobody even bothered to come out there and see if I was still alive or dead.q" - Jody

Emory University Hospital Midtown: "I had nasal cancer and surgery on July 14,2020. Because of covid I wasn’t allowed anyone to stay or visit me. It was 10.5 hour surgery. They replaced my palate with a Musale from my right wrist. They took skin from my key to cover my wrist. Took all my top teeth out and put all but two back. My throat was cut all the way across. There were 6 drainage tubes. I was supposed to be in icu for 3 days. They put me in a reg room after one day. They said because of covid. Everything is because of covid. I was treated terrible once I got to the reg room. It was like being in a third world country. I couldn’t talk or write. My arm was in a cast and had two drainage tubes. Nobody was helpful to me at all. I’m surprised I even lived. I had gastric cancer in 2011 and was in a Gwinnett county hospital. I don’t have one bad thing to say against that hospital. 24 days there and excellent care. I complained as best I could to Emory once I could speak some. Nobody ever got back to me. It was inhumane treatment. Beware if you are ever there on the 2nd floor. " - Joy
