Mount Sinai Hospital Stories

Mount Sinai Hospital: "I honestly dislike reviews as much as I dislike trying on clothes in store but I had to make a review about this place. This place doesn’t feel the least bit of urgent whatsoever. I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw someone die in the waiting room because of the waiting time and lack of urgency. I’ve seen ems abandon a physically impaired man crying out in pain because of the lack of patience (4-5 min total time). I’ve had my blood pressure measured incorrectly during intake. I’ve had encounters with incoherent staff examining my insurance. I wait about 2-3 hours in the main lobby and then 1-2 hours in the next waiting room. From there I’m placed into a private room for an hour or so without being acknowledged. I don’t need a baby sitter nor a high level of attention (thankfully) but the staff here make you feel like they don’t care if you live or die. I’m treated like a number. I feel the staff is overwhelmed, underwhelmed, lackadaisical, operating in a “template” like manner with the exception of a few of course. Does this place need more doctors? Does this place need to revamp its hiring process? Does this place need to expand to help enhance its capabilities? I don’t know, I’m just a patient, patient #64 today but felt like #164. I really want to believe and support you guys but it’s very difficult. I’m spending my last 2% of battery to write this review because the people need to know what to expect. This emergency room isn’t for emergencies. 9/30/22" - Brandon
