Midstate Medical Center: "Friday, may 6 2016, 5:30pm. Went to midstate E.R. 1 week after having spinal surgery. Needed a refill on pain meds. As my Dr was in surgery and i had to wait out the weekend for a refill.i assumed going to the hospital where the surgery had taken place would have been the better option although I live in Southington. My info was taken immediately and was brought to a room right away, where my vitals were taken. shortly after a not so friendly nurse came in to tell me I had to wait back out in the lobby and it was going to be quite a wait. I would say perhaps she was having a bad night, however this was not the first nor second time I have had this nurse "attend" to me. I ended up waiting over 3 1/2 hrs in the lobby, with a spinal injury, to be written a prescription , all the while witnessing the girl at the desk repeatedly coughing without covering her mouth. Needless to say i never was seen, because i was in excruciating pain, I had to leave. Sitting in that lobby was hell with a spinal injury. Midstate E.R is a joke. Went to Bradley hospital in Southington the next morning and was in and out in an hour. However when it came to the surgery i had at midstate, i could not have asked for a better experience.
