Leesburg Regional Medical Center: "I arrived at the ER about 0530 am. I was experiencing high BP and skipping beats for more than 12 hours. I was checked in quickly and then waited to be seen. Blood was drawn, EKG done and I spoke to a Dr in about an hour and a half. They had no beds so I was told I could be in a hold area, no family allowed, or could sit in the ER waiting area, unmonitored, until a bed opened up. My spouse was with me and unable to drive and wanted to stay with me. I waited until after 8 pm when a hold area bed opened up, spent the night on a stretcher until a bed opened up after 8 am." - Cynthia

Leesburg Regional Medical Center: "May 21,2021: I entered the hospital at 1230 PM and let at 1130 PM. Triage was done with in a few minutes and then the fun began. Wait , WAit in pain right hip was very painful, went to radiology received xrays and CTscan wait two to three hours for an answer of don't see a fracture. CT scan of my hip;wait wait hours so on and so on. The BIG problem is the note the NP wrote was totally inaccurate. He never did ROM, listen to my lungs, heart etc. but it was chart has he did. He never gave me a diagnoses or instructions or home. Now the other poor patients that were in the waiting room with me for 12 hours: 3 people vomiting and no staff helping them, a patient with a DVT sat in a transport chair not a wheelchair or over 12 hours awaiting to be admitted. Lady with palpations was sitting in the general waiting room not being monitored at all. I could go on and on, there is no staff monitoing up to 20 patients at a time. An elderly man that was brought in by ambulance, was left to sit in the waiting room with no monitoring. No food, or fluids were offered to patients waiting over 12 hours. I ask for help to go to the bathroom, never was helped in 12 hours. If you think you have an excellent ER you are very wrong. It looks worse than a third world ER. It is an ER waiting for a liability suit. " - Kristi

Leesburg Regional Medical Center: "We were in rm 22 in ER from about 5pm to 1:30am, admitted to ER on 5/15/17 via ambulance from the physicians office. I was there as extra ears and eyes. This is my objection, if you are not well versed in a patients case do not behave in a dismissive fashion towards their concerns. If you are the releasing doctor. Speak clearly and do not rudely respond if you are asked to clarify a statement." - jo
