Lakeland Regional Medical Center: "Waited for four hours and never was checked on by a nurse or doctor just one emt took my bp which was 192/118 and no actin was taken I sat over four hours waiting and nobody checked on me or my heart in any way shape or form. Worst er experience I’ve f my life will never go back for care there. People were sleeping in benches and in old care rooms outfitted with chairs the old waiting area and care areas are gone it is astoundingly horrid and nightmarishly reminiscent of the care level given in the 1600s daily plagues. The one charge nurses available answers no questions only tells you you’re on a long list still waiting to be seen by the doctor. Never been in any er where staff waits for some cruel fictitious doctor to trollio along. We waited from 9:20 on until after 2am. They moved all the old setup around and it is a horrible nightmare do not go there find another facility for your own health safety if you have a choice. I don’t know what changes or who took it over but it is currently horrific and cannot recommend anyone affiliated with such a scene who hasn’t reported it to the medical board for immediate remedial action. I’m a former nursing professional and that is not supposed to occur in modern US healthcare we most have some barbaric influencers overruling nursing standards and patient care ethics and laws to even exist that way. Inexcusable. Deadly in fact when someone has a bp that high for that length of time. Inexcusable for modern healthcare. " - Anonymous
