John C Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital Stories

Dec 23, 2022, 1:39 AM
John C Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital: "Super crowded, and full of people with no apparent regard for others. Someone sitting right next to the restroom, but dry heaving into a bag for a few minutes every half hour. An angry mom with her kid clad in only a blanket who is quiet for a bit followed by close to an hour of blood curdling screams at the highest level anyones ears can take, or can't. Long wait. Leaving. " - Boss

John C Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital: "The ER was a nightmare. Due to being short staffed, there was no way to see those waiting for help in any kind of timely manner. Not only was the ER fully packed with people, but others were having to stand and it poured out the doors. People were rocking in agony and pain, a couple were vomiting. Others balled up in fetal positions in agony. One woman who had waited 5 hours didn't look like she would last until they were able to see her. My husband kept throwing up due to an infection from chemo. I had to ask for blankets and towels to clean him up. Then ended up making a pile on the floor of these soiled items. The bathroom was filthy and littered with paper towels, toilet seat covers and toilet paper all over toilets, floors and counters. It was filthy in the waiting room with no attempt at all to keep things sanitary. Both my husband and I left just to get out of the horrific situation. People were waiting 9 hours to be seen. John C Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital: "This emergency room is awful. The have had a young woman with a dislocated shoulder for almost 3 hours in tremendous pain and have done nothing. My Girlfreind has been here for 3 hours waiting on a cancer treatment. Her bladder could burst at any time. If that happens a lawsuit will be filed and I will hold this hospital responsible. Stay away from this hospital at all costs. " - Robert

John C Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital: "My wife was brought into the ER with a very painful neck issue where a muscle had popped out of her neck. I left work and met her there about an hour later. To my amazement, my wife was in a room alone, crying uncontrolably, and despite an obviouly painful condition, no pain medications, not so much as an aspirin. As soon as she was admitted it was obvious to a blind man that she needed a shot of Demerol. When I finally found my wife's nurse, she was at her station, joking and trading off duty stories with another nurse. When I asked the nurse about getting my wife some attention, she very quickly developed an attitude. I told the nurse that if my wife didn't get some immediate attention, even if one of the nurses just sat with her til the doctor saw her (the nurse, Rachel B., certainly had free time!) that I would take my wife to another hospital, which was my right. At this point Nurse Rachett informed me that she was going to call security on me! SECURITY!!! All because I politely, but firmly, requested that my wife be given attention. Then, when security arrives, Nurse Rachel B. tells them that I threatened her!!! To sum up, will never go there again and I am filing a formal complaint. I wouldn't take my dog to this ER." - Bob
