Huntington Memorial Hospital: "Breaking covid 19 protocol indangering community!!! I am director of nursing. So I know the rules. I am potibe for covid 19 and so was my 12month old son and husband. My son fever would not break no oral intake since 12 hours weak tired unable to stand was informed to go to huntington bc rhey are pediatric emergency room. I left my soon who is active unable to wear mask outside the ER room with husband. Told security guard outside he instructed me to just walk in. I went to front desk three nurses one female and two male told them whol story. First thing they said was what u think we can do for u? Lol was mean rude. Told me to sit same place woth everyone else on side where the new arrivals wait to have vitals checked. Then to front desk used equipment on my soon who was coughing all over the front desk everyone touches and uses. Nurse weearinf regular blue masks not n95. The one tool vitals new he was positive but his mask bellow his nose. They told me sit at the waiting room or go outside in the rain. I told them hr is positive he would contaminate eveything they said then go outside in rain. They then used same equipment non sterialized on multiple other pts. Same desk tocuhed by multiple pts. I was worried about the 40+ people sitting on waiting room so I went outside bc my 12 month old cant wear a mask plus all of us are coughing. My husband opened the umbrellas and we waiting. I was not happy bc of these situation and felt my son is more indanger then going to be help so we went to urgent care the next day bc his fever broke before we left er and he ate half his bottle of milk. It's very sad this is happening in ER where ppl go to be taken care of. I will make report to department of health as well.

Huntington Memorial Hospital: "During covid-19, the waiting period is right hours, one person has waited at least ten hours to be seen by a doctor, some people are in the ER because of the lack of beds at Huntington. I have type 2 diabetes, and have waited for almost eight hours, and still have not seen the doctor or even get treatment, all I had was one bag of IV by the EMT while being transported to Huntington Hospital. Very frustrating for those who have a legitimate medical issue and need medical attention. Someone is going to die while waiting in the ER and if this does occur, look out there will be lawsuits because of this." - Timothy

Huntington Memorial Hospital: "Waited 5 hours and 45 minutes watched groups of people be admitted and discharged that came in hours after me while I waited. Some people arrived waited an hour I saw them leave two hours later while I still waited. It would be okay if it happened once or twice but it happened 5 times. With people I was sitting by. I was shocked as I was with my 9 year old boy who was crying in pain. I will never ever come here again and while here felt like they didn’t respect my rights. People came in randomly to do X-rays.
