Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center: "One person name is Sandra may be doctor or registered nurse I am not sure her behavior was very bad & she told me we can’t do anything here go to your primary care do for finding surgical doctor with very rude but position was very emergency that’s why I called 911 around 12.45 am after I did overdose pain killer ibuprofen " - Rabeya

Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center: "I came in at 12am on a Friday morning. Fever and large abscess. I was experiencing tremendous pain, headaches and shortness of breath. After 2 hours I took a CT scan and blood work. Never got a follow up as promised. I asked for something to manage my pain and was told I had severe infection and they couldn’t put my IV on a chair I had to be in a bed. They called 8 people who got in after me with less severe symptoms. 12 hours later I was called back after I made a fuss about the wait and being skipped.

I was then Led to the back to an uncomfortable chair I’m w corner near the nurse table. Right in front of a room with a lady who arrived 6 hours after me with a UTI! Here I am swollen in pain for hours was told they did the wrong test hours ago and would have to do another CT. Then an IV was put in my arm in the chair (exactly like the said could not) yet with no fluid or anything. I was left for 2 hours with a needle sticking out my arm Still yet no pain meds or antibiotics no second test.

Throughout my experience threre every time I asked for an update, pain management, or even to get my vitals rechecked the staffs general answer was very callous “ we are busy and other people have waited 12-18 hours too” After I saw the doctor who was supposed to be treating me EATING at the nurse station not even worried about her responsibilities I asked to have the IV needle removed. They GLADLY removed it and said “fine since you can’t wait” SERIOUSLY?? Also made me sign a paper saying I could have brain hemorrhage, deep infections and death! If I left. Yet you left me sitting unattended with no treatment at all for almost 14 hours

There is no excuse for the lack of compassion for those who are in an emergency medical crisis. Unacceptable! I felt discriminated against and gaslighted for expressing my pain and asking reasonable questions. It is not the public’s fault you are short staffed nor is it acceptable to skip over people who have been waiting over 12 hours! Avoid this place there are horrible. The act more like correction officers than caretakers. I’m currently already in a bed at Cedars Hospital. 3 hours wait or less. High fever, infection was on the verge of septus. I would have literally died had I stayed at Hollywood Presbyterian! "
