Good Shepherd Medical Center Marshall Stories

Good Shepherd Medical Center Marshall: "I brought my mother into ER in Marshall on April 28, 2017 at approximately 11:00 a.m. My mother was experiencing severe stomach pains. Upon arrival she checked in and the Triage nurse was very rude, allowing other patients to walk through while treating/asking my mom questions. When we made it to a room, they sent a student in to give my mom an IV, he was unsuccessful so he got the nurse, Daphene. My mom in severe pain was a little agitated, I informed them that my mom is a very hard stick. Well the nurse attempted to try to find a vein to give her an IV, my mom was telling her that there is this one particular lady that they call to do the IV and if she could get her to come down to do it. She kept telling the nurse that she was in pain and that she did not want them to keep sticking her, the nurse told my mom that she was trying to find a vein and that she was not going to stick her without letting her know first. The entire time my mom was moaning due to pain and was a little irritated. At this point the nurse became agitated and stormed out of the room!! HORRIBLE attitude and bed side manners. After receiving no help and she was sent home the same way she came, IN PAIN she was discharged and I had to ask for someone to bring a wheelchair, because my mom was unable to walk out on her own. I am very disappointed in the service/care that was received for my mom on today!
