Eisenhower Medical Center: "I went to Eisenhower ER yesterday. I waited over 8.5 hrs to be roomed, 1 hour later a nurse came in my cubicle and another hour before I got pain medicine. I was having severe abdominal pain and throwing up. Inhumane service. I was too sick otherwise I would have left as many others did. " - Richard

Eisenhower Medical Center: "Absolute worst experience imaginable!
13 hours. Yes, 13 hours. Staff was mean, rude, and wouldn’t respond. When second shift came on front desk had one lady that was helpful and one nurse who would answer questions.
They took my husband, after a six hour wait, for an mri and four hours later I was begging for his status and whereabouts. Nasty, dirty, and no longer care about patients!"

Eisenhower Medical Center: "51/2 hours this evening and counting. So far, BP, IV for fluids and meds for nausea. They want to ultra sound abdominal area. Not sure they have one. 3 hours waiting... also drew blood, I think, 4 or 5 hours ago. Must be a whole lot of critical cases taking precedence." - BChristopher

Eisenhower Medical Center: "My experience there was absolutely awful. Not only is the ER staff rude but I’ve never seen a group that could care less about their patients. Communication within the nursing pod is lacking some serious skills. I wasnleft there for over 5 hours by myself no even wondering if I was okey. They made a big deal when I politely asked if I could get some water. With all due respect as a healthcare worker you are a caregiver. Lots of patients come in and are scared out do their minds and they just want a caring kind energy to let them know it’s going to be okay and that they’ll take care of you. I know if you had asked any of those nurses if they’d have taken their family members there they would say he’ll no!
Unfortunately if you have any human kindness and want to be treated like one I would never recommend the ER. "

Eisenhower Medical Center: "I’m hoping this procedure has been addressed. I brought my husband to the emergency room, two hospital security were assigned to the check in area. I was asked to go to my car and retrieve my husbands medication and to return to the area where he was being treated quickly. I was stopped when I returned by two young volunteers and I was not allowed to return with the medication. I was told that both security had gone to lunch and they were not allowed to admit anyone until they returned. I am a retired Correctional Sergeant and I understand security. Having your meal with your partner should not be an option if it leaves the entrance of a secured building unmanned or without the authority of someone to make a decision in an emergency. I had to raise my voice and insist on someone to take my husbands medication to the back room where he was being treated for and an over dose of Fentanyl ( prescribed opioid) I just hope this procedure is no longer practiced." - Elsa

Eisenhower Medical Center: "The worst!!!! I went there at noon and had a blood test, I waited for 3 hours to get the results and see a doctor. It never happened. That night, I went back at 11 PM to try to get my results and see a doctor, but after sitting in the waiting room for 5 hours, it was 4:00 AM, I couldn’t stay awake any longer so I left without seeing a doctor or my test results. I’m never going back there again. " - Helen
