Doctors Medical Center: "My sister was in a really bad car accident and just had her third surgery during her stay of 2 weeks so far (now on 4South). The drain tube wasn't put in correctly and my sister was laying in a huge amount of blood. When I tried to inform her nurse she didn't seem to care and walked off. So I went looking for someone to do something. A CNA and another nurses came in to check her along with her nurse. The CNA, other nurse, and myself attended her. My sisters nurse came to the door looked and said "I have to go give meds to someone". She should have stayed and attended her patient. I was at my sisters side for about 2 hours and her nurse wouldn't come in. I then left waited an hour and called her. She lied to me about the drain tube and said it is and has been working and that the measurements were recorded. I told her the tube isn't working, wanted to know what the drain amount was since surgery and also when would the drain be corrected. She said there was nothing recorded after she told me there was recordings. Your staff has no clue that I work at EMC, have several family member as well as friends whom are nurses and doctors and lying isn't something a caring nurse should do. Also not attending her in a time of need is very unprofessional! I will be speaking to the director regarding this pathetic level of care." - Brianna
