Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital: "My mother lied to police to force me into a psych hold, and despite Conemaughs psych unit being on a covid lock down, I got taken to Conemaugh despite their inability to treat me. I was held overnight, promised a transfer first thing in the morning so I could go to a hospital that CAN do my evaluation. Now it's almost dinner and nobody will even answer me about what the hold up is and when I can expect to get treated. I am almost certain that Conemaugh is delaying on purpose in order to charge me for an extra day, and would highly recommend that other patients stay far, far away. Their current online ratings haven't caught up to how horrible they've become. Locally, Conemaugh is known as the place where you go to die" - Lisa

Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital: "My mom to er on 6 21 22 in the morning was finally ( hrs later) diagnosed with really large gallstones and inflamed gall bladder.was told in afternoon she needed to be transferred to Pittsburgh because johnstown didn't have the specific machine needed for the imagery. It is Thursday 6 23 22 and she is still waiting to be transported. And when I ask why the wait i get i don't know,they are waiting on transport, they are waiting on bed in Pittsburgh, they are waiting for them to call ??????? Which one is it ????I think my mom is being given the run around because of her insurance when I left on 6 23 22 at 400pm I saw 4 ambulances there .I'm gonna call and see if she's still there.my point is they in my opinion don't care about their patients AT ALL ,I bet if it was there mother they would have been in Pittsburgh and back by now and these are supposed to be knowledgeable people and THEY DON'T KNOW?" - Betty

Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital: "Conemaugh Hospital ER is pathetic. We got sent straight down here from Medexpress due to chest pain and we have been in the waiting room for over 3 1/2 hours. This is just insane. Nobody even comes out to tell you how much longer. A lady ahead of us was here for 5 hours........ it is totally inexcusable. The stats that your visit is only 2 1/2 hours is not true at all. When I was here in the past, I waited over 6 hours in their waiting room. Something majorly needs done to this hospital.
