Baystate Medical Center: "Brought my 65 y/o wife with chest pain and left arm pain to Baystate. Arrived at 10:30 pm, it’s 7:30 am now and we’re still in the waiting room. When she first arrived, they did an ecg, x-ray and blood work. Asked the triage nurse what the reaults are. . “We don’t get that information up here, but if it was bad I’m sure they’d let you know.” Virtually everyone in the waiting room has been here as long or longer than us. The older woman across from us has been here since 3:30 PM yesterday. 16 hours!!! Just did a little online research and learned that CMS no longer penalizes hospitals for long wait times. Maybe this should be reinstated.

Baystate Medical Center: "I went in with my husband at 10 AM this morning to be seen for a emergency and they brought him into the back did his vitals and all of that then made him go back into the waiting room 3 PM in the afternoon and still has not been seen by a doctor. Wait times are wrong. Staff is also very rude and unprofessional. " - Christine

Baystate Medical Center: "My mother arrived at the hospital's emergency room at 10 PM, never was given a bed and had to return to the waiting room following an EKG, an x-ray, and 2 draws of blood. At 5:30 AM she has not yet received results, all the while being surrounded by patients who have been waiting 27 HOURS for care." - Skylar
