Anne Arundel Medical Center Stories

Anne Arundel Medical Center: "It will be an all day or all night experience. They want us to use urgent care, the urgent care in my area right now September 21, 2023 is 269 minutes. Having an urgent care center in house at every hospital may take the load off of some of this. You are triaged in the ER and if your life is not in danger you will be at the bottom of the list period. " - Ann

Anne Arundel Medical Center: "Had a 6 1/2 hour wait on September 8th and am back here today for a similar issue and have been told the wait time is 7 to 8 hours. The nurse said it's like this or worse every day." - Tony

Anne Arundel Medical Center: "I waited over an hour to be seen. Finally asked how long it would be. I was told that they did not have a room.
I left . My bp was 180/94.
When I arrived at 6:45 am, I was the only one in triage. When I left there were about 5 patients after me." - Carol

Anne Arundel Medical Center: "I tried to get into the ER on 9/30/21 at approximately 10 pm.
The initial front was that of two individuals barking at me about masks and hand sanitizer...not interested in what I was there for.
Theses people are extremely unprofessional.
Once I was finally logged into the system I was told to go stand at the "green star" and wait for registration.
Since there were ZERO people standing in the line I figured the wait wouldn't be too long.
After 10 minutes or so it became clear that there wasn't anybody ACTUALLY WORKING in the registration section to get me registered and hopefully get my issue taken care of.
After standing there like a damn fool waiting on a imaginary employee to register me there was nothing left for me to do but leave.
I have lived in Glen Burnie for over 30 years and been to the ER room many times.
The ER services there used to be stellar.
Your ER has become a joke.
