Alta View Hospital: "I have never seen such a disorganized, uncaring hospital, concerning someone needing psychiatric help. My daughter came in obviously in distress, acting out, being obnoxious, very loud, making a scene. She was stuck in a room for 10 hours where several staff members could see she was not right in her mind. ( And no meds to help her calm down )

Daughter couldn’t stand to wait any longer for a bed in the psychiatric unit, and they allowed her to walk out of the hospital. Worst experience of my life!"

Alta View Hospital: "STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY! Intermountain as a whole should be shutdown. They are greedy and only treat patients like dollar signs and nothing else. I believe doctors take an oath to “do no harm” and if that is the case they should all the doctors in the ER should have their licenses taken away! I have been there 4 times and everytime I leave there I am more upset and concerned then when I went in there. Then I try and call to get clarification and I am treated like a criminal and not a patient. It must be nice to have a monopoly and so you can treat just treat patients worse than the airlines do but we really have no choice to keep coming back. Every single male doctor I have ever seen in the ER there treats me like I am a dumb woman and must not have any idea what’s actually happening to my own body. They gave me my discharge papers and in the instructions it said to come back to the ER if you had only 1 of the 10 symptoms - I still had 5 of them and I told them that and they just kinda of laughed and discharged me anyway. WTF! I have finally had enough of abuse from them and from now on for emergencies I will make the 15 min drive to Lone Peak hospital instead of the 2 min drive to Alta View. " - Amber
